Mr. Gerhard Heiberg, Chairman of the IOC Marketing Commission, has visited Chinese Shuttlecock Training Centre in Xiaolan Town, Guangdong Province to study the game of shuttlecock on July 6th .

He watched the training and match of shuttlecock carefully and asked a lot of questions to Mr. Zhang Tielin, the coach of the team, such as the history of shuttlecock, its development in China and the World, and the future of the game, etc.

In an interview with the press, Mr. Heiberg appraised the game of shuttlecock as a fun and highly competitive game, and he believed that more and more countries will be interested in this game and more and more people will participate in this game.

He hoped that one day the game of shuttlecock will become an event of the Olympic Games.
